On April 3, 2024, a severe storm hit New Jersey, causing widespread damage and significant disruptions to utilities and daily life. The storm’s intensity prompted the National Weather Service to issue flood watches and high wind warnings

High winds, with gusts reaching up to 70 mph ripped shingles from roofs, downed trees and power lines, leaving thousands of homes without electricity and exposed to water intrusion.

Hail up to 1” in diameter was documented across several areas including Forked River, Howell, Jackson, and Manalapan.

Damage discovery from this recent storm is still in its infancy.
